The Rapid City YMCA's existing aquatics facilities had reached their limit of capacity. The new YMCA addition contains a fully featured training pool with a shallow-end for smaller kids play and activities, a unique 20' high-twisting water slide and water kiosks for child and family activities in a warmer water environment.
The addition also features new locker rooms, four family rooms containing privacy for families with their own lockers, showers and toilet areas. The aquatic director is strategically located to supervise both new pool areas.
