Although the physical environment was restrictive, and budget was tight, FourFront Design was able to entirely upgrade the facility from a very stoic historic school building to a warm and inviting atmosphere.

Specific challenges of the project included:    Revising the layout of the old school into separate and monitor-able living pods; choosing vandalism-resistant interior finishes while maintaining a homelike environment; adapting the building for handicapped accessibility; achieving security needs while upgrading to current codes; preserving and enhancing the historic look.
