FourFront Design, Inc. designed upgrades to the City of Box Elder's existing wastewater treatment facilities to include a total containment lagoon design.

The design included expansion of the existing lagoons to one larger cell along with two additional cells for an additional 75 acres of treatment area. Modifications were made to the inlet structure with a splitter manhole, rectifying their existing ponds, and constructing approximately 70 acres of addition area with two cells. The design also included excavation, transfer piping, rip rap, fencing, etc., which would provide minimal operation and maintenance labor and costs as compared to a mechanical plant.
