In recent years, incompatible land uses have interfered with the operational mission of EAFB. This interference had been the result of developers encroaching on the existing noise and accident potential zones for residential and commercial use. It was only by the resolution of this incompatible land usage that the growth and compatibility of EAFB, the City of Box Elder and the surrounding Rapid City metro area could be used. Based upon the need to address these land use issues, a coordinating committee was formed. FourFront Design conducted an analysis on the corridor. The best alternative was selected and an environmental assessment was completed. Client: Department of Air Force, Ellsworth, SD |
